Trains to Granada Find train times and tickets

Granada is famous for its Moorish heritage, and most particularly for the Alhambra Palace. The city lies in the shadow of the magnificent Sierra Nevada. Reaching Granada by train is easy, but not always fast as the city is rather tucked away off the main rail routes. There is an excellent overnight train from Barcelona and Valencia, which runs daily (except on Saturdays outside the main summer season). There are twice-daily trains from Madrid to Granada, taking 4 hrs 30 mins. There are also direct trains to Granada from other cities in Anadalucía: Algeciras, Almería, Córdoba, Ronda and Seville.
