Regional trains connect with the rest of Catalonia in the North-East of Spain, and further down the East coast, as well as direct . Trains to Barcelona run directly from Paris overnight on the Elipsos sleeper train, or during the day by high-speed TGV with a change at Figures for the final leg.

London to Barcelona by train can be completed in a day by taking a morning Eurostar to connect with the TGV option from Paris, or by night by departing London in the afternoon to connect with the Elipsos night train.

CIV protection

UK train tickets to "London St Pancras International CIV" offer an extra level of protection for international train journeys.

These special fares, authorised by National Rail, ensure that your entire journey will be protected under international conditions of carriage.

This means that if your UK train is delayed you'll be guaranteed a place on the next available Eurostar and onward trains to your destination at no extra charge.

Tickets to "London St Pancras International CIV" also include travel on the London Underground (if necessary) to London St Pancras.

CIV fares are priced differently to normal tickets, and are only valid with proof of an onward Eurostar ticket.

Prices are usually slightly more expensive than non-CIV tickets for the same route, though they can sometimes be cheaper, especially during peak times.
