This is part of Spain’s very first high-speed rail route. Heading south from Madrid, you’ll see Toledo away to the right. The route then cuts through the Toledo Hills and, a little later, slices through the rugged Sierra Morena. All in all, it's a 2-hr journey full of drama that takes you from Madrid to Andalucía.
Booking for the AVE services generally opens about four months in advance of travel, but this can vary. Bookings for other trains on this route open two months before travel. Book early for cheap tickets. The Spanish rail operator will often release tickets in batches, sometimes up to 120 days in advance. If you're having trouble finding tickets contact us and we'll email you when booking opens.
