Trains run frequently from Barcelona to Zaragoza. Indeed, this is one of Spain's densest rail routes. The principal cities of Catalonia and Aragon have enjoyed close cultural and commercial links for centuries. Now, thanks to Spain's investment in high-speed rail, you can speed between the two cities in just 90 mins. Most passengers opt for the fast AVE trains on this route. The Alvia services are a bit slower. There are also occasional slow regional train services which make many stops along the way.
Bookings for the AVE services on this route generally open up to four months ahead of travel, though the Spanish rail operator often releases tickets in batches. If you're having trouble finding tickets, contact us and we'll email you when booking opens. The cheapest tickets are usually found right after trains are released for booking, so it's important to buy them early.
