Frequent (four services per day during the summer) and fast, double-decker trains from Paris can be easily combined with a Eurostar from the UK.

There’s always a lot going on in Spain during the summer, from world famous music festivals to a range of Spanish cultural events.  Travelling on a high-speed Renfe-SNCF train  from Paris takes you from centre-to-centre, at a great price whilst reducing CO2 emissions. There are many reasons why you should consider taking the train instead of the plane.

Travelling to southern Spain by train is popular with tourists and the country’s extensive  fast rail connections make it really easy to travel from north to south. Spain’s high-speed network is widely seen as one of the best in Europe, with Renfe services also providing a relaxing quiet ambiance in their carriages - which is an added bonus on longer routes.

Heading south to Andalucia, starting with Seville. The capital of Andalucía is the fourth largest city in Spain, a vibrant, bustling place – one that captures all the best qualities of the south. Seville is, quite simply, the perfect place to chill. The home of flamenco claims to have the best tapas in Spain. Nowadays Seville pulls the crowds all year round.

Granada makes for another excellent holiday spot in the region. it lies in the shadow of the magnificent Sierra Nevada allowing the city to combine breathtaking landscapes with remarkable history architecture and culture.

Southern Spain also has a fine selection of summer festivals to pick from including the August Fair of Malaga. An entire week full of fun activities and events from fairgrounds to Flamenco at the heart of the Costa del Sol. The fair of Malaga is one the best events of the summer.

With so much to see and do, and with the availability of cheap tickets, now is a great time to book your train holiday to Spain!
