Dream Team
-
Jamie Andrews – Managing Director
With a background in business incubation and web development, Jamie Andrews is at the helm of the Loco2 operation. He is the man with a plan: product owner, managing director and architect of dreams. He’s in charge of steering Loco2’s strategic decisions, but can often be found knee-deep in code and European train legislation, making Jamie the fat controller of the Loco2 team.

Kate Andrews – Co-founder & Director
Dotter of t’s, crosser of i’s, Kate makes sure Loco2 runs a tight ship (train), managing Loco2 operations behind the scenes. Not only that, but as co-founder and creator of the original brand identity, Kate dabbles in all things non technical, from editing, design and and wire-framing, to answering your train travel queries in the Engine Room.
-
Jon Leighton – Technical Director
Jon came aboard in the early days, and built the original Loco2 codebase. After some time off to work on less important things (like his Oxford education, and climate change activism), Jon rejoined the team in 2011 and became Technical Director in March 2012. He’ll be keeping our technical team on track from now on. When not working for Loco2, Jon commits code to the rails core source repository and climbs rock faces.

Eugene Bolshakov – Software Engineer
Yevgeniy (or Eugene to those of us unable to pronounce произношение) is the technical brain behind Loco2. A programming wizard of the highest order, Eugene builds order out of chaos, crafting efficient systems to unravel the mysteries of European rail. His combination of technical ability and willingness to communicate with other humans makes him a jewel in the Loco2 crown.

Anila Babla – Digital marketing manager
Anila joined the team in 2011 to head up operation social media. Armed with her trademark brainstorms, she’s hit the ground running and has quickly become a vital cog in the Loco2 machine. With a background in design and communication and a knack for imparting wisdom in 140 characters, Anila’s brought a welcome third opinion to the team desk.

Ed Gillespie – Non-Executive Director
With a host of low carbon travel credentials, Ed Gillespie, of lowcarbontravel.com and Futerra fame has his finger firmly on the (sustainability) pulse. A media and marketing oracle, Ed is a fine addition to the non-exec team and has supported Loco2 from the early days.
