Loco2 is here to make Europe by train easy. With our journey search tool we’re trying to make the process of booking European trains simpler, quicker, and altogether more straightforward. We love European train travel and want to make it accessible to everyone, both in terms of ease of booking and in terms of price. That is our mission. It’s not going to be easy, but we’re proud of our progress so far, and we’re going to keep at it until it’s complete.

Low carbon travel adventures

We’re inspired by the joy of travelling by train, and the thrill of crossing countries overland. We love that a holiday by train starts the minute you climb aboard. Forget excess baggage, hidden costs and restricted leg room. Embrace the adventure that comes with making your journey part of the entire travel experience.

The name Loco2 is inspired by finding a new approach to locomotive travel, and we’re proud to be different. But it also means low CO2. There are lots of ways to reduce your carbon footprint and how you choose to travel is one of them. We want to make it easier for people to make green travel choices, and this is our small contribution to tackling the problem of climate change.

Challenge accepted

We’ve made it our mission to make finding and booking European trains as easy as possible. As many people know all too well, booking trains in Europe can be a challenge. Information on tickets, timetables and routes can be hard to find, and it’s sometimes difficult to know if you’re getting a good deal when you part with your money.

We founded this business because of our own frustrations with existing train booking websites. But solving the problems and confronting the challenge is not an easy task! As a small start-up company, we are faced with an intimidating landscape of vast nationally-owned rail companies who are often happy for things to stay as they are.
But we aren’t daunted! We want to tackle the problems head on, and we want you to help us!

Communication is key

If you’re struggling to plan and book a journey (either on Loco2 or elsewhere), we want you to tell us about it so that we can do something to fix it. If we can’t sell you a ticket, we’ll tell you why, and where else you can go. And in return, if you’ve got an idea, or travel tip for the rest of the Loco2 community, we want you to share it in the Loco2 Engine Room.

If you like what we’re all about, and want to help us as we try and complete our epic mission, the first thing you can do is sign up for our newsletter and we’ll be in touch with details of your exciting assignments. With a bit of luck, and the power of one thousand trains, we may just be victorious!

We'd love to hear from you
